Danazol without a prescription

Danazol is a synthetic hormone. Danazol is prescribed to treat pain and infertility caused by endometriosis, a condition involving the tissue of the uterus. Danazol is prescribed in the treatment of cysts or lumps in the breast or may be prescribed for heavy menstrual flow. Danazol is also prescribed to prevent attacks of angioedema in both males and females.

Danazol How to take

Take Danazol capsules by mouth. Swallow the capsules with water. Take your doses at regular intervals.
Do not take your medicine more often than directed.

Danazol Side effects

May cause:
- Anxiety;
- Appetite changes;
- Bloating;
- Dizziness;
- Fatigue;
- Headache;
- Stomach upset;

These effects should disappear as your body adjusts to the medication. Other side effects include:
- Change in sex drive;
- Changes in sleep patterns;
- Chills;
- Feet or nasal congestion;
- Fluid retention in the hands;
- Flushing;
- Mood changes;
- Muscle cramps;
- Oily skin;
- Vaginal dryness or irritation;
- Weight gain;

Notify your doctor if any of these become bothersome. Notify your doctor as soon as possible if you experience:
- Blistering;
- Changes in ovulation;
- Dark yellow or brown urine;
- Decrease in breast size;
- Deepening of the voice;
- Depression;
- Difficulty passing urine or blood in the urine;
- Hot flashes;
- Including inside the mouth;
- Nausea;
- One-sided weakness;
- Peeling or loosening of the skin;
- Redness;
- Skin rash or itching;
- Slurred speech;
- Stomach pain;
- Unusual bleeding or bruising;
- Unusual swelling of feet or ankles;

Women often experience no or irregular menstrual periods while taking Danazol. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Danazol Precaution

Before you take Danazol, tell your doctor if you have: breast cancer, heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, migraine, porphyria, seizures (convulsions), unusual vaginal bleeding, strokes, prostate cancer, an unusual or allergic reaction to Danazol, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives; pregnant or trying to get pregnant; breast-feeding.
If dizziness or blurred vision occurs, use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. Geriatric men are at increased risk of developing enlarged prostate and prostate cancer with the use of androgen-like drugs. Use of non-hormonal contraceptives such as a condom, diaphragm or sponge is recommended while taking Danazol and until you have had at least one menstrual period after stopping the drug. Danazol can cause menstrual periods to stop entirely but they usually resume within two to three months after Danazol treatment. Danazol must not be prescribed during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. Breast feeding should be avoided while using Danazol.

Danazol Drug interactions

Before taking Danazol, tell your doctor if you are using any of the following drugs: agents that dissolve blood clots,
aspirin or aspirin-like medicines, 'blood thinners' such as warfarin or heparin, carbamazepine, clopidogrel, cyclosporine,
doxercalciferol, medicines for high cholesterol (examples: lovastatin, simvastatin); medicines for diabetes, paricalcitol, red yeast rice,
sirolimus, tacrolimus, ticlopidine.
Tell your prescriber or health care professional about all other medicines you are taking, including non-prescription medicines, nutritional supplements, or herbal products. Also tell your health care professional if you are a frequent user of drinks with caffeine or alcohol, if you smoke, or if you use illegal drugs. These may affect the way your medicine works. Check with your health care professional before stopping or starting any of your medicines. Do not take birth control pills while you are taking Danazol.

Danazol Missed dose

If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

Danazol Storage

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F).
